Pamela Parry is regarded as one of the leading professional Singing Voice Consultants in the UK. Dedicated to the multi-disciplinary approach to the voice, Pamela provides specialist singing coaching, both institutionally and privately, to improve all areas from vocal techniques and confidence building, to stage fright and the rehabilitation of the injured voice.
As an experienced performance and repertoire coach, Pamela provides vocal training to both singers and actors to develop their voice so that they can understand their voice correctly, in order to communicate more effectively.
Aside from her work as a teacher, Pamela is highly respected in the clinical world as a Rehabilitation Singing Coach in the Voice Clinic at the Royal Sussex Hospital in Brighton. Working as a problem solver, Pamela has particular success in dealing with acute anxiety and areas of vocal injury having overcome voice crash herself during her career.
Working from her private studios in Brighton and London, each session is individually tailored to suit a client’s needs. Clients can be taught on a one-to-one basis, in groups or at various workshops around the UK.
A Director of the British Voice Association and a Vocal Diagnostician and Singing Teacher at Central School of Speech and Drama, Pamela’s career now encompasses jazz, cabaret, acting, writing and directing. After studying at the Royal College of Music, Pamela had early success in opera, oratorio and recital performing with Placido Domingo and Jose Carreras.
Clients include Sony BMG, BBC, Australian TV and the NHS, to leading jazz and West-End performers, established and newly signed bands.
